Wardrobes

This is an example project of a standalone wardrobe. I can build wardrobes of any size that you need to fit into an alcove or just to sit against a wall in your bedroom. The advantage of having a standalone wardrobe over a built-in one is that when you move house you can take it with you.

This wardrobe was built so that it is assembled in the bedroom where it will live. This had to be the case because of difficult restricted access to the room.

It is made from Scottish Elm and rippled sycamore.

First the sides go onto the bottom and then the middle section. Then the top goes in place. Next are the back panels. Then it is pushed back against the wall and the pieces of plywood which it is sliding on removed. Then the top surface goes on and finally the shelves and doors.
